The District Weekly for May 24, 2023

May 24, 2023

Hello BPS101 Family-

It’s Graduation Day for the BHS Class of 2023. Congratulations on reaching this significant milestone in your educational journey! As the school year draws to a close, we gather with immense pride and anticipation to celebrate your achievements. Tonight, at 7:00 PM, we invite the entire BHS community to join us in watching the Ceremony LIVE HERE. This momentous event will commemorate the hard work, growth, and resilience of the Class of 2023.

We wish all families that are moving up from one school building to another the best on their journey. Communication from RMS and BHS to incoming 6th grade and 9th grade families will continue this summer to aid in a smooth transition for your students.

Additionally, LWS hosted the musical “On the Radio”, which was Directed and Choreographed by retiring teacher Walt Zimmer and performed by members of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes at LWS (see second picture). Pictured on the left are (from L to R) Vivienne Haas, Kinley Sharda, and Hugh Tieri Ton (photo credit Cherie Tieri).

Batavia Activities and Athletics Foundation (BAAF) has a TON of camps for students of all ages this summer. Here is a list of all camps currently being offered. Additional information about Batavia Youth Football Camps and the need for volunteers can be found here.

Need help over the summer? We are here for you! The BPS101 District offices at 335 W. Wilson Street remain open throughout the summer. Our summer hours are from 8 am-3 pm. Summer hours will begin this year on May 30th, and regular hours will resume on July 17th. We will be closed on May 29, June 19, July 3, and July 4, 2023. It is best to call (630) 937-8800 before your visit to ensure the appropriate individuals are available to help you.
